This track is an actual country demo produced by Ontario producer Stan Stupor for a potential artist in the Nashville market. Because it's a demo, I'm singing it a little more country than my typical Rahi High sound. But upon hearing this, to my suprise, a few people have suggested that I switch genres completely and become the 21st century's answer Charlie Pride! I was thinking that Darius "Hootie" Rucker had that position sewed up already.

Lyrics

She had the cutest face that I’ve ever seen
California girls can be so mean
This California world’s a crazy dream
My old man, he told me be strong

If you’re asking me to tell you
About the big city lights
And the lunches and the parties
They don’t know I’ve arrived
But my friend’s think I’m crazy
Cuz I won’t come home til I’m a star

In the Califonia sun
Now my Georgia eyes have changed from red to grey
And I don’t believe I’m headed home today
Cuz the California sun has just begun
California sun!

She had the tallest hat that I’ve ever seen
This California girl was something mean
My girlfriend, she told me, “Be strong!”

She was asking me to tell her
’Bout the girls on the beach
And the groupies and the parties
Just to see where I’ve been
Still she knows I’m not crazy
Cuz she knows I will come back a star

In the Califonia sun
Now my Georgia eyes have changed from red to grey
And I don’t believe I’m headed home
Cuz the California sun has just begun
California sun!

She had the cutest face that I’ve ever seen
California girls can be so mean
This California world’s a crazy dream

In the Califonia sun
Now my Georgia eyes have changed from red to grey
And I don’t believe I’m headed home
Cuz the California sun has just begun
California sun!
